Kericho
Kericho is Kenya's main and most well-known tea growing area. Tea is everywhere, both in the landscape as well as in the town.

- The most striking feature of Kericho and its surroundings is the beautiful landscape covered by large tea plantations and bordered by a dense forest. Trees from all over tropical and sub-tropical world can be found in often beautiful gardens. Needless to say that this landscope sports a large variety of birds (over 160 species reported) and if you are lucky you can see Colubus monkeys.

How do we get there?
Kericho is about 5 hours driving west of Nairobi. The turn-off Southwards to Kericho off the main Nakuru-Eldoret Road is at Mau Summit.
From Kisumu on the shores of Lake Victoria it is almost two hours driving to Kericho. The road is pretty bad but is listed for rebuilding. After that it should take arond an hour.
